GRATITUDE!

This is a subject we are all familiar with, but do we all practise it enough, and why is it important?

I personally believe that happiness is an internal choice. Gratitude is such an enhancement to internal happiness. I know that we all have external influences, but it is about how we process these in our minds and make things work for us. It’s being appreciative for who and what we do have. We all have our “stories” and ways of self-pitying at times. Everyone (unless they are somehow extremely fortunate), has had personal battles, and when we look back, we can often see that our internal battles were are often unnecessary. In other words – if we had dealt with things in a better way, we may have suffered less in the process. I believe that we are all here to work on ourselves, constantly evolving and calculating what works for us. If we could all give our past-selves some personal advice, I’m sure “gratitude” would pop up somewhere.

Gratitude is something that would benefit every single one of us if we gave it daily focus.

Branching-off slightly with intention to return: The one thing that I have learnt in life is that the “love” energy we hold within us, reflects outwardly. What we put out, we get back; our energies interact; we impact one another; we attract the same frequency back to ourselves.

The reason I mention this, is because gratitude exudes love! If we ooze love, then we attract love. If we ooze gratitude, we attract more of the same that we are grateful for.

I am one for writing about the power of thoughts, words and actions manifesting our reality by order of creation, as I am living evidence of healing through the power of manifestation with these methods. I know that holding gratitude creates more of that wonderful energy.

Challenges are opportunities for growth, if we ask ourselves “what is this teaching me?”, or, “what can/did I learn here?” If we do see these challenges as opportunities for growth – then once we have succeeded in the recognition of personal growth, we can be extremely grateful for the result. If we are grateful for a positive result, then we are appreciating the gifts of life.

If we feel grateful, we feel happier; we love who and what we hold in this present time in life, and in effect we attract more of these wonderful energies. Gratitude allows us to recognise our present moment.

If we do the opposite and complain about our “lack” or what we “have-to do” daily, then we aren’t being grateful and we attract more lack and the same energies in return.

I have a personal quote to share: “Next time you complain about having to do ‘this-and-that,’ remember that there are some who can’t even do what you are complaining about doing.” Be grateful for what you can do.

There is also the regular mention of “if you have clothes on your back, food, water and shelter – then you have much more than millions of others across the globe.”

Remember the phrase?: “Sometimes we don’t realise what we have until it’s gone.” This reminds us of the importance of gratitude. Don’t you think?
