Do you believe that thoughts and words create your own reality? When I recognised the mind-body connection, I found that I became much more aware of my thoughts and the impact on my feelings. If I felt a brief moment of courage, my body felt that same courage. My heart rate would steadily pump, with a wonderful feeling of calm and strength. Alternatively, we all know that feeling of fear or stress when our heart races and the palms feel slightly sweaty. We are aware of the impact on our blood pressure. These feelings stem from our thoughts, words and responses; as well as from previous thoughts and words that have allowed an automatic response. Thought and word is extremely powerful!
How we perceive ourselves also has an impact on our mind and body. Have you noticed how our thoughts are stored in our subconscious and how an automatic behaviour becomes the result? Take a person who has little confidence – have you noticed the body’s posture, or the type of eye contact? Notice the opposite behaviour of one who is proud and confident. We all recognise body language in all of its form, whether we are consciously aware of this or not.
Thoughts and words become our reality, not just with our body’s response or our behaviour, but also in what we create in our lives. We create with the power of choice, from intention. I personally believe that everything stems from our decision making and intentions. The movement of a muscle comes purely from intention. Just the same as intending to purchase something and acting upon it – this is part of our decision-making in order to create our reality.
Thought and word coupled with a strong emotion/passion can send out such a powerful energy, that we begin to plant seeds in another form of creation. It has been proven by highly educated people who speak candidly in the book or movie named, The Secret. There is the saying “Be careful what you wish for.” There is so much truth in that phrase.
So, when you think about thought and word, become aware of what you say to yourself and others, as you are constantly creating your own reality. Your mind and body listens; the universe listens.
